Tea and crossword time

I managed to get out into the sun for a while and sat on a chair outside the cabin. Helena bought me a present of a new compendium of 100 cryptic crosswords, luckily with the answers in the back. I've found this a good way to practice allowing myself at least twenty-four hours to try to solve clues, before sneaking a peak at the answers.

I started doing this with a similar compendium of Araucaria crosswords, the pseudonym of the famed Guardian setter, Rev John Galbraith Graham MBE. I still regard his clues as the best I've ever done as I'm forced to admire their complexity, at the same time as making me laugh out loud at times with his humour.  

The Times crosswords are on a similar level, and this book will take me a while.
