Tiny Aliens

I slept so heavily last night struggled to wake up this morning.....it was 9.05 when I opened my eyes !!!

A quick shower, but this longer hair lark is taking way to long to style & dry!! After breakfast hub went straight to the bakery for a loaf, and me to the butchers.....everyone conducted themselves properly Im pleased to report, got what we needed and we made it back home in the dry. A quick pop out into the garden for todays blip. I thought the new growth unfurling on our fern looked like tiny little aliens!! Pleased to report the blackbird is still here, hopping around, looks more perky than yesterday, maybe he's recovering, hope so!

The forecast rain arrived on cue and has continued steadily for most of the day. Spent all afternoon in the kitchen. Roasted a piece of gammon, glazed with marmalade and harissa, made cauliflower cheese, and some soup. Soup & a sandwich for lunch.

After dinner we joined our friends for a quiz on line.....didnt win this week, came third for not so bad ;-)
