Somewhere Over the Rainbow
I took this photo on Sunday evening when the clouds welled up with the tiniest of tears & had the quietest & most modest of weeps. There was barely a raindrop and the heat and warmth of the last few days still very much pervaded the atmosphere.
My eldest and I stood mesmerised, looking at this rainbow and whilst I grumbled about how the rain was on its way and how we absolutely don’t need that kind of nonsense in our lives, my daughter contemplated what might be at the end of it.
On prompting, she told me that for her there was a “modern palace” and for all of us, there’s a “very quick and very effective cure for Coronavirus”.
It’s good to know that my daughter currently has both materialism and compassion in equal measure.
Stay healthy, stay kind.
