Suited and Booted
My latest dodgy ‘cover version’ of a proper artwork is my tribute to Frida Kahlo’s ‘Self Portrait With Cropped Hair’ (1940). I had to use shoe laces as substitutes for the locks of hair that you’ll see in the original... www.moma.org/collection/works/78333
The text “Look, if I loved you it was because of your hair. Now that you are without hair, I don’t love you anymore” is a translation of the original quotation from a Mexican song that Kahlo used in her painting.
My song selection for today is ‘Song for Frida Kahlo’ by Tinpan Orange www.youtube.com/watch?v=IIscn1x_i7c
Love and good health to you all! Xx
