During my cycle ride this morning I didn't think I was going to see any cars that was until I entered the last mile and a quarter from home. Then crash bang wallop on the quarter mile stretch of main road the count went from zero to five in seconds.

Today was meant to be 'Drive it day' When owners of old cars are encouraged to drive them. We should have been on the 'Cotswold Run' with my Austin Seven but like everything else it's been cancelled and my cars are locked away in the garage.

I know I said last Sunday that I would have Sundays off as a day of rest but I find it hard to sit at home and do nothing so I started by washing Ros' car which was covered like an old book in a film of dust which on closer inspection was a layer of yellow pollen. In fact it looked unloved as if it had been abandoned which is probably nearer the truth as its only used once a week. However after a good wash and leather it was gIeaming and loved again.

I then carried on flatting back the undercoat on the Bentley and sprayed the headlight brackets. The Bentley is now ready for its first spray of topcoat which will use up my remaining paint. My colour sample is already to go Auto Paints Brighton for them to mix me 5 Litres of hopefully matching topcoat.

I did finish early tonight so that we could Zoom Ashley Hayden & Co. for a chat. We're spoken to them on Zoom WhatsApp and Skype more than ever since we've been in prison.

On Sundays I tend to sum up how we are feeling about our imprisonment. It seems that other people are beginning to get restless with being confined to barracks for so long. Me on the other hand I'm still enjoying being at home without the interruption of having to go out. Fortunately I have cars as my hobby or obsession as Ros calls it and there is always work to be done on them and if not I can always wash and polish them. Perhaps even drive them again one day.

Dealing with imprisonment is easy because in my mind I've written off this year for going anywhere be that out for meals or holidays etc. which makes staying at home no problem whatsoever and gives me a lot more time to boot.

Ros has her weekly shopping trip down to a fine art and gets everything we need for the week and she rarely has to queue. She is very efficient.

So to sum up I'm still lovin' it and long may that continue.
