Ringing

It has been calm enough for me to have my bird nets up the last few days to catch them to ring. 
All day yesterday nothing and all day today, just as I was closing  the nets, at the end of the day this bird appeared in one. 
A Willow Warbler that will have made it back form the middle of Africa last winter, all ten grams of it. Last year, one arrived in the garden here in May that had been ringed on the Isle of Man the previous autumn.
Friday night is quiz night and sure enough there we were zooming away. Slighlty surprisingly we won. One of those annoying questions when the answer just wouldn't come. The singer of a song who was the lead singer of Led Zep. I could name all the other members of the band but not the singer, until of course we got told the answer.
