Sunday

As of yesterday, Rosie has decided that garden furniture is fair game. When she isn’t busy licking the bbq clean that is.

Morning of cooking leftovers into tasty stuff, chocolate cake using up yoghurt is definitely leftover cooking (although. Too chocolatey says Daisy. Weirdo)

Than reading all about people’s lives with food. Finished The Trifle Bowl and Other Tales by Lindsey Bareham. Loved it hugely, it is organised by different prices of kitchen equipment, talking through the back story and connections, often family related if each. Just loved it. So much so I was a bit worried about starting another immediately after, A Homemade Life by Molly Wizenberg. American for a kick off which made me worry it would all be a different life (Plus, cups and sticks measurements!) Until she talked about her dad who died well before he was ready at 73. Ticked all the boxes at that point so all good, loving it too.

Pies and stuff are in the oven. I am sat in the last corner of sun in the garden with a glass of wine (obvs). This has all helped to push away my dread of going back to work tomorrow. My boss and I both finished Friday basically furious with each other.
