Well, sometimes you just don't know how the day is going to pan out.
This morning Chris phoned me at work to say that he thought that something had hit his eye and scratched it.
I hurriedly replied that he should call NHS 24 and see what they said, and that I was teaching, but I would call him at lunch.....
Cut to ten hours later, i.e. now, and I am just back home after Chris has undergone emergency surgery under general anaesthetic. It was frantic and urgent and the surgeon was brilliant. And Chris is ok.
A wee (tiny teeny) piece of metal flew into his eye whilst he was using a screwdriver. Chris has four pairs of safety specs and regularly uses seriously dangerous machinery. Sods law that it was unscrewing a screw that did some serious damage.
Anyway, this shot is not some kind of empathetic blurry vista - just polishing a turd, as they say.
