Comfort Zone
Comfort zone. It can be your work, your normal company, people around you or any thing you do regularly and are familiar with. R my survey assistant is off on holiday to France to ski and my first site posting will be a solo one to Skye on Thursday.
The three days prior to that will be spent on a long pending DIY project; to swap our living room carpet for more dog friendly laminate. By virtue of
countless Youtube videos I have mentally rehearsed the steps involved and rigorous measurement of the room has revealed that the chimney breast which protrudes forward in to the floor space sits at a considerable skew in relation to the otherwise square and parallel walls. Thus the bespoke cuts to the laminate boards to accommodate this will involve long tapers or short cross cuts which are not quite square to the boards.
I know what to do, I have the tools for the job but I am out of my comfort zone. All of a sudden standing in the driving rain on a hill on Skye is appealing.
Before starting with the in house flit and carpet removal we went over the back garden fence but not up the hill (not enough time). This is Caley playing in the puddles.
