The cakes goes in... and comes out
Even if it looks like a Gala pie, I'm chuffed!
It's Nadiya Hussein's lockdown pear and cardamom cake recipe, because apparently some people bought tinned fruit during the panic buying phase, and now don't know what to do with it. I wasn't one of those people, but I made the cake with fresh pears and put GF flour in, instead of regular.
I actually have a much more exciting story about today, and one that includes information about the other fruit that we used to call pears in our ignorance (avocados) but I will write it up later because it's stupid o'clock and there's another zoom pub quiz tomorrow morning.
