Easter traditions

When I was a child, my grandmother used to make 'hornazos', a bun with a boiled egg, like the one you can see in my photo today, during Holy Week and Easter.

It was supposed to be a good 'snack' for the kids, but I didn't like it. It was hard to eat bread with a boiled egg and me and my brothers and all the little children who lived and played together in my grandparents' big house used to eat only the egg white and some of the bread. and we would hide the rest of the hornazo among the plants of the garden.

I guess birds and other animals were very happy those days.

Today I went to the bakery and I couldn't resist buying a hornazo for the old days and for the memory of my grandmother.
