In Seclusion: Week 7 Begins.

Week 7 started yesterday, but it does require a conscious effort to keep track of what day of the week it is.

The shape of each day is very similar. I am usually up and about by 6:00 and perform my morning "ablutions" .

Pat is missing the treatment from her Osteopath, and before making breakfast I apply an ice pack to her back whilst she remains in bed.

"Alexa" informs me of today’s Fact of the Day" followed by the news from the BBC and a weather forecast for our exact location.

I then ask Alexa to play Classic FM and also ask her to add items to our shopping list.

The ice pack slowly warms up as I make breakfast, and we have breakfast.

Pat also checks through any messages from friends and family and we enjoy many humorous items put up by people who can see the fun in our current situation.

We check on the friends who are working in the NHS. Everyone is good so far.

Pat receives all the support messages that come as part of my "shielding status" for which we are both very grateful.

After some exercise, during which I took today’s Bliofoto, I planned some informal paths through our wild garden. Come across the neighbour’s cat who looks at me with her usual look of contempt before resuming her patrol.

I spent some time penning an article for the former school pupils magazine regarding our current experiences. Whether they will use it or not is up to them.

The weather this morning was misty. The dreaded North Sea Haar was in residence. It is now 2:00 p.m. and the mist has dispersed to reveal the sun.

Lunch cannot be long in being announced.

The extra is another view of our Harmonium with the keyboard exposed. It was made by Story and Clarke of Chicago, Illinois, and is a portable model.

The Blipfoto is of the one remaining gate post which was part of the original design.

All of the original iron gates were removed as part of the "war effort", the idea being that the material could be used to make weapons. Very little ever was.

The white "ranch style" gate is part of a rather unfortunate modernisation carried out by the owner of Roseberry Cottage.

Thankfully, the ranch style gates and fences were removed by the current owner and this abandoned gate is slowly being covered by a mixed species hedge.

Politicians appearing to give the impression of doing something. A behaviour pattern still being displayed today.

Thankfully, many people see that for what it is and continue to show many acts of kindness in so many different and helpful ways.
