NIGHT MAIL
Night Mail is a poem by W H Auden (him of the "Stop all the Clocks" or more accurately "Funeral Blues" fame).
It was written to accompany a 1936 British Post Office film.
This is the Night Mail Crossing the border,
Bringing the cheque and the Postal Order,
Letters for rich, letters for the poor,
The shop at the corner and the girl next door....
This window caught my eye. Instantly the poem came to mind as I wondered if that jug gently shakes?
