Cooking

This one loves cooking, always have.  One of my favourite pictures is of him helping me make Christmas cake when he was 1.

He made scrambled eggs for lunch, the youngest made the toast.  My sole input was to mop up some egg, fish out some egg shell (although not much) and give it all a bit more of a whisk together.

Got up for a run, ended up doing an hour and a half of work instead, which was useful, but not for my waistline / mental space.  Spoke to my boss at 6.45 - he was delighted as it was his second call of the day... I vowed not to make it a frequent occurrence.

Lovely morning with the boys, we hung out in the garden, did lots of weeding and enjoyed the sun.  Totally unproductive afternoon sorting out things for people who should have been able to sort it for themselves and incredibly frustrating.  Sitting here at 9.30 again working away, waiting for something to come through from someone..

The rest of the house is asleep, the solitude is actually quite nice.

Today I'm grateful for:
Early morning call - normally it would be stressful, but helped manage my day and helped with things I would have worried over until my afternoon work 'shift'
An argument between the boys, and whilst the eldest ran off (after hitting his brother), he came back of his own accord and appologised, of his own accord.
Sunshine in lock-down.  My goodness it helps!
