Startled......in more ways than one!

Firstly, the starlings!!! Lots of them all over our garden the last couple of days!! Managed to blip these three before they took off, literally!
The feeders needed replenishing as you can imagine.

Didn't sleep great, something woke me up at 2.15, not sure what, but that was me awake until 3.30.....mind rampant, then woke at 7, 8 and up just after 9 :-/

We had to pop out for some bread, so we combined it with our daily exercise. There did seem to be more people out and about, and more traffic! Whilst in the queue outside the bakery, everyone 2 metres apart, I,spoke with the lady next to me, she was a teacher, and had just come from the school. Another older lady appeared behind her, wearing a face mask, she startled the teacher as she came right up behind her, and when the teacher said please dont stand so close, she said "oh I think they are over doing it a bit" then said I bet your chilly (she had no coat on) and went to rub her arm!!!! The teacher quite rightly backed away quickly and said "please dont touch me.......Ive just spent all morning at risk, teaching frontline workers children!". I couldnt believe what I was witnessing!!!

We bumped into our window cleaning team as we were walking back home......we had a chat across the road. They were telling us of the varying degrees of reactions they have encountered from different customers. Most, like us, more thsn happy that they are continuing to work, complying with the social distancing, but apparently some people have been very rude and actually come out of their houses and ranted at them....rather counterproductive!! Nowt so queer as folk as they say ;-)

Laundry done, clean bed linen on, washing pegged out, dried in no time! Changed into shorts, found a pair that fit, 2 other pairs into the charity bag, both two sizes too big, A quick wiggle and they would have been on the floor lol!! We agreed to skip lunch today as we were having an early evening bbq. Home made burgers, sausages, chicken pieces, jacket potato, mixed salad and various condiments.... thoroughly enjoyed it, but so full afterwards! Shared a bottle of chilled Pinot Grigio too :-)

We zoomed with our neighbours at 7 for the Golf Club quiz.....didnt fair that well tonight, mid table of 21 teams.

We are beginning to look like we have been on holiday, the weather has been so good this last 3/4 weeks, thankfully!!

Tomorrow in our Drive we have Lockdown Bingo...... one of our neighbours has organised it! We have to be sat on our driveways at 3pm.. all will be revealed tomorrow.

Off to watch Googlebox now.......always good to cheer you up!!!
