This male Downy Woodpecker surprised himself when he pulled out the last big chunk of suet; sadly he dropped it and flew away! I was surprised too today - there was no wind, and despite the clouds it warmed to the mid-50s. Glorious! I cleaned out the dead debris from around our Hosta plants, filled most of the feeders and sat outside with Newt Kitty for a while. I might go out again and enjoy a brew before getting dinner going. The milder temps really do cheer me up! Take good care of yourselves.
