Mission of Mercy

Well, we had run out of bread flour, so when the kind lady from the local farm shop rang to say we could have two bags ("it's only white, not wholemeal") I sprang into action.  After a breathless "Thanks!" I was on my bike and rushing up the hill to buy the bags before someone changed their minds.

As it was, it took a fair while to get into the shop, what with the five-person limit, and when I was nearly at the till the person in front filched (OK, bought legitimately) the last of the large sacks of bread flour – I had just noticed them next to the till.  

Oh well!  I still got two bags of bread flour, so we won't run out of sourdough for another week or so.
