Carpet of bluebells

As you can see from the collage I was not alone scrambling about on all fours looking at bluebells through a lens.

The only way, that I could see, into the wood was to climb over the rather rusty railings .... the stone steps were very useful!

I think there are plenty more bluebells to bloom but with the ground very dry I thought it best to clamber about today.

I enjoyed some time sitting in the garden with my book and a spot of lunch. Too hot, for me anyway, to sit out all afternoon.
