Lockdown, Rail Trail

The CENTRAL OTAGO Rail Trail has been busy with walkers and cyclists all through this lockdown.

It was the rail way line from Dunedin to Cromwell long ago. Someone came up with the idea to make the trail into a cycling, walking trail and it started about 2000. A number of people thought it was the most stupid idea ever but now it is such an asset for the wider area - well that was before lockdown. Who knows now with no tourists about.
