Goosey Goosey Gander

J has been volunteering to do the longer walk across the donkey field because we come back down the road and can look over the wall at this gander incubating her eggs. Her partner is always swimming not too far away. We've been watching them for at least 4 weeks now so they must be ready to hatch fairly soon.

We have also noticed that Tufted Ducks and Grebes go all the way under water and pop up somewhere different to where they submerged. Mallards on the other hand, just turn upside down and leave their bums sticking up out of the water.
