Life of a bubble maker

Woke up with the start of man flu this morning. Not sure if its a coincidence that I shaved off my side burns last night and now I have a cold? Gave the gym a miss as a result and go into work early.

There was a great full moon this morning but by the time I had arrived at the Forth Bridge it had gone down too low and was in the cloud. Shame as it would have made a great blip.

Instead I was talking to one of the other engineers at work, who is working on a replacement for the replica eyes we use to setup our systems. He is looking at using a silicon gel to fill the eye body with. While he was making the prototypes this one got some bubbles it in so it couldn't be used. So being engineers it was taken apart to see what it looked like.

Looking from the back gives you some sort of idea what the image is that arrives on your retina. As you can see it upside down, as you would expect, as the telephone is at the bottom of the picture but at the top of the eye.

Quite cool I thought.
