Fledgling

A robin chick sat below the tree in our garden for most of the evening. It wasn’t at all bothered by us but we decided to give it some space to allow the parents to feed or find it if necessary. So from inside the garden room we all waited and sure enough the robin came to feed it’s chick as we watched.
We’ve really been able to slow down and appreciate the world around us during lockdown and I’ve certainly noticed far more life and living things close by. We’ve never had so many birds in our garden! Or have I just never noticed?
