A sewing afternoon

I got started on the scrubs / uniform bags today. This length of material yielded 5 bags. More will follow.

Two will go to my close friend and ex-colleague who took over my role when I retired. It’s a scary situation at work as one of the midwives has died and another member of staff is in intensive care. She has a strict routine in order to keep the family at home safe.

The other scrubs will go to the local care home so that staff can change at the end of shift and take their uniform home in a bag to be put straight into the washing machine. Several of my sewing group ladies are involved in these projects.
