Bark (a very occasional series)

Festival committee this morning. The first week's bookings are great and we hope that will continue. Publicity going well too. People are starting to do prewalks and check routes. We have never been as ready so early (warning alarm sounds in brain!) The programmes are printed and, so far, no errors have been found (there is always one).

Home this afternoon to print off invitations for the reception we are having to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Festival. We had to decide who to invite which was tricky, but the room has a capacity of 95 so we are limited.

Checked for signs of Spring in the garden. The aconites are flowering but no sign of snowdrops yet. I liked the look of this bark - nice warm colours on a grey, wet, cold, windy day.
