Canopy.
Wide Wednesday - weather.
Our extraordinary weather continues. Still a bit of a wind but with the sun and blue skies I can live with that, especially as it has dried my washing well today.
As usual we did our daily morning walk. Walking along the top of Goit Stock woods, on the edge of Wilsden, to Hallas Bridge and then back past the waterfall along the Beck through the Goit Stock Valley. It’s the first time we’ve been past the waterfall since the Beck was in spate after the heavy February rains.
What caught my eye today was the lovely fresh greens in the canopy of the wood against the amazing blue sky.
We passed the blue tit tree of yesterday but there was no sign of activity. As we left the Park Home site we saw a Dipper. It seems to nest around here. The extra is the best shot I got. All the sharper ones were of it looking away!
We tried the new directions for the location of the Sparrow Hawk’s nest but couldn’t see anything but will try again on our next walk through.
Last night after our ATN singing I started watching Romeo and Juliet at the Globe. It’s on You Tube till 3rd May. When we had a tour of The Globe in November we thought it would be good to see a production one day. This may be it! I’m just watching the end as it goes on nearly three hours and was getting too late to finish watching last night.
Soon we will have virtual pub Wednesday and then another church quiz at 7.00. It’s all go.
Stay safe everyone.
