Crepe myrtles

Outside working in the yard this morning.

When the crepe myrtles are cut back, the following spring they grow shots not just on top where you want them to, but all over the tree.

Since it is 16°C/61°F and there is a breeze, it’s great weather for me to be outside working. I’m removing the shots off the crepe myrtles. Getting rid of the briars galore between them while I’m at it too.

It’s 10am and I’m about 1/3 of the way done. Taking a small break and now about to get back at it.
