Back at Rowe Woods

We haven’t been able to visit Cincinnati Nature Center’s sites recently, as they were closed, but they have now re-opened to members only, and if you pre-register online for one of three time periods during the day. The weather was a little uncertain first thing, but turned into a beautiful clear blue sky day. We took one of the longer loops today, and saw very few people - two couples and one runner. Unfortunately this trail tends to get rather muddy in places, and it didn’t disappoint! We saw several turtles sunning themselves on fallen logs, heard a lot of bird song, but didn’t see many, and enjoyed the sight of the wildflowers, predominantly wild purple phlox today.
