Roses from other people's gardens
Had a really nice 3-way Whatsapp video chat with two friends this morning - one in Greece like me and the other in Australia... coffee time in Greece, tea time in Australia so that worked out rather well.
I walked in a different direction today for a change, into the next suburb. I discovered a nice selection of roses and several handsome cats. I was intrigued by one bush, the top left in the collage, which had 3 different coloured roses on the same bit of bush.
Plus there was a paper recycling bin! Our suburb doesn't have any specifically for paper now since they removed the few that we had originally.
So an essential paper dumping walk can be envisaged soon to get rid of a few bags of paper that have been cluttering up the hall ... something for G to do I reckon.
In my recent excavation of our very small freezer, I discovered a tupper of stewed plums that must have been at least 10 years old... they came from our village plum tree which was destroyed in a storm a very long time ago.! They seemed fine when thawed so I made a plum and apple crumble.. which was really tasty.
