Rusty can
Spotted this rusty can tied around an old rusty propane tank (I think that's what it is). The can was probably covering an opening in the tank. I'm always curious about the story behind things like this.
I had a good walk this morning. It was sunny and windy, and I had my hat on to keep the sun off my face. It kept blowing off and I ended up carrying it. Feels like a system is moving in. We're supposed to get rain tomorrow. Hope so.
I passed two other people going in the other direction, and we stayed on opposite sides of the road. The woman was jogging, slowed to a walk, and stopped to pull her trousers up.
"I'm losing my drawers!" she said.
I replied, "Should I get my camera ready?"
"Noooooo!"
We had a laugh. I saw her again on the way back, and she said, "I still have them on! Enjoy the rest of the day, Love."
"You too!" I was a bit surprised, pleasantly, to be called Love. It's short unexpected interactions, shared moments with strangers like these, that I miss. Happy to have one today.
When I got home, I worked for a couple of hours in the garden. A good day for mental and physical health.
Extras: magnolia ready to bloom; a woman throwing sticks for her dogs on the beach. I knew it was a woman because I could hear her. I wish I would have been closer to get a better shot.
