Early Apple tree blossom

Being at home and having to give a proper explanation of things to my son has meant I've had to find out about things I didn't really know - it's amazing how much we think we know, but it doesn't hold up to scrutiny! 

These blossoms will hopefully be apples, if they get pollenated. 
Either way, they're very nice, but really early!
