Mini Allotment

I am trying to get to our allotment most Monday mornings, in order to get prepared for the growing season. Frequent visits seem to be the best way to maintain an allotment, and we find even a half hour visit helps keep on top of all the jobs.
At the moment Saughton allotment site is having extensive electrical work done to it, taking pylons down etc. So we are having to use a side gate that I had not even noticed before. This sign is on the gate-I love the way that it is a mini allotment in itself, covered in many crusty lichens.
There is now a storm raging outside, so I was lucky to get my gardening done this morning.
