Bright spot

These azaleas are growing in the woods near the lake. Miya and I left the trail to see them. We were far enough away that I dropped her leash and let her run up and down the hills in the woods. Her leash got caught on some branches and I had to climb the hill to save her. She thought it was worth it. Hiked all the way around the lake and saw too many turtles to count. The trail was moderately busy - lots of other dogs getting exercise.

Once home I started the landscaping project around the pool. It will take more time than I originally thought in part because I didn't plan on where the rock would be going. I am not even 1/4 complete with 5 hours of work. We decided we would move the rock to the landscaping in the front of the house and eliminate needing mulch. First we will have to prep the area - clean out old mulch and a few stumps, pull old landscape fabric, and put down new fabric. 

At least we will keep busy! I will need more brownies.
