Day 28 – What a view

The weather is really stuck at the moment with sunny skies, a cool breeze and clear air. It’s such a pity we can’t be in the hills walking as it’s bound to be wet and changeable when we eventually get back to the Highlands. We decided to cycle to Holyrood Park and then walk up and around Arthur’s Seat trying to avoid the masses that usually inhabit the Seat in good weather. We went up from the south end of Dunsapie Loch to Crow Hill and then on to the Lion’s Haunch where we sat in the sun enjoying the view before going to the top and then down the Lang Rig to St Margaret’s Loch. Amazingly there were only 2 other groups of 2, well-spaced out, on the top of Arthur’s Seat. My blip is a panorama of the Old Town from the Lion’s Haunch, the first extra an unusual view of Arthur’s Seat from Crow Hill with no one there, and the second a telephoto of the Castle and Old Town from St Anthony’s Chapel. Best seen large.
