Dead tops

We were out before breakfast on this sunny morning and headed for what has become our favourite walk.  I quite liked the look of this dead tree top at the top of a stand of pines along the coastal footpath.  We didn't see any Wheatears as we wandered back but did hear and then watch as a Skylark flew down to the ground.  As we wandered back to the bridge we noticed that there are now 4 Swallows flying around.

Back home I put the beans outside for the second day and when I eventually took them back in late afternoon they were looking very bedraggled in fact a bit like this tree, most had lost their leaves in the cold wind I suppose.  I had just ordered some bamboo canes for delivery looks like I had better plant some more beans tomorrow.
