Lockdown - Day 31
A fleeting glimpse of the countryside, on the way to the vets. If you get your binoculars out, you can even see cattle on the hillside.
Poor Toff’s been through the mill today. We had to wait in the surgery car park for 15mins, then the vet came out and took Toffee away. 35 minutes worth of tests later she was brought back out to the car. Turns out the phone diagnosis two weeks ago was incorrect (hardly surprising!), and she needs an operation on her ear to solve a problem resulting from her having had Cat Flu when she first came to us as semi-feral rescue. The vet also strongly recommended that while she’s anaesthetised, Toff has some teeth removed. So £105 worth of vets bills already, another £1200 to come! Yes, that’s the right number of 0’s!!
Safely back home, Toff and I spent half an hour in the garden soaking up the 18 degree sunshine, and recovering from the visit to the vet, and the shock of the bill!
Take care, stay safe and well...
