Bandstand on banks of the River Dee

We finally made it to Chester after a fairly grueling journey. One which should have only taken us 3 hours ended up taking 4 and a half due to the poor weather conditions and the sheer volume of traffic.

We were greeted with warm hugs, big smiles, and even bigger cocktails. Our friend's new home on the Groves, which overlooks the River Dee, was beautiful and set in a gorgeous location. I can't wait to explore Chester tomorrow but now it's time to enjoy our friends company and a few more cocktails :-)
