Sydney Park
On one of the park’s hillocks there’s a small agricultural farm. The crops vary. Today I recognised a banana tree, a mulberry and a nectarine; a tiny crop of some sort of grain; kale, lettuces, silverbeet and rhubarb in raised beds; herbs; flowers. Signs warn against stealing. Produce is donated to Oz Harvest, which gives it to people in need. I’m sorry now for taking sprigs of thyme that time.
The pipes in the picture are new. Apparently they’re a “pollinator insect feature” that provides shelter for native bees, wasps, flies and beetles.
Thanks for hosting Trisharooni, and for setting “Out of focus” as the challenge.
