I had to coax them inside with promises of treats, because they would NOT stop barking!

I finished grading my seniors' term papers. It was bittersweet, as usually I make a big deal about returning the redmarked final hard copies to them, full of compliments regarding all the things they did right. As they have been working on their papers throughout the semester, I had plenty of opportunities to point out weaknesses and mistakes; now is the time for celebration of their hard work... It will not be the same this time around.
