Look for the silver linings

This is a partial view of my backyard through the looking glass in late afternoon.
Here’s today’s guided tour -
Flora (L to R): there is a dried chunk of cholla cactus framing the monster cactus, A mammallaria cactus with two prominent red buds, two golden barrel cacti and two golden torch cacti in front of a very large blooming grizzly prickly pear, and way off to the right,  a baby Red Yucca (near the stick). Naturally, there are weeds everywhere.
Fauna (L to R): there’s someone sipping water on the wall, a Gila woodpecker nipping on the orange, a Gambel’s quail and White-winged dove searching for treasure on the ground and several House finches dining at the Bird House Café.

Today’s photo bombers include rooftops, palm trees and the Santa Rita Mountains.

John called me today and he sounded great. [SL#1]

It’s beginning to warm up. By Thursday it’s expected to be in the mid 90s (~35°). Perhaps that will chase all the snowbirds away. [SL#2]
