I spy a fly.

Weather..still dry and reasonably warm 
Walked up to the park . Not very busy.
 One couple arrived by car, walked round the lake and then back in the car. Maybe they are recouperating. I'll try not to judge. 

A pleasant walk and where they've recently built a ' bug hotel' they have now added a sculpture..a fly. Only a phone pic I'm afraid . I should have brought my camera but the hay fever has been bad.. watery eyes etc. Hard to focus.

I now have 5 nasty bites in my leg! At least the antihistamine is helping re all the itching. I dug out some Avon woodland fresh dry oil from the back of the drawer. It's supposed to act as an insect repellent. I hope so!

A phone call from Linda who seems very content with The Situation. " The days are flying by!" She had all her food delivered and is quite happy pottering around the house.  I can't say I'm the same!  But.. on the positive M is with me and happy and the weather means it is pleasant out of the house and that all makes me happy . ( Ok I do get quite fed up sometimes..I do so want to get out for a long walk through the woods and down by the beach..but ...)

I washed the sand off the car windscreens this afternoon as they were pretty bad. As I lifted the rear wiper up the rubber fell away. Normally I'd get a quick replacement from  the Toyota  garage but it's closed. Hopefully I can get something that will fit from Halfords..when I go out for my weekly shop.
At times like this you realise how much you have taken for granted everything you need is on hand.. Nowadays it's down to basics like ..Can I get bread and milk today?.

Most of the time, tucked  away in the warm cocoon of home , Netflix on and a glass of wine in the evening, things seem the same.  ..just for a while... before reality kicks in .
 I am so grateful for all those people who are out there working so hard to keep everything going .It makes me feel quite humble.
