Day 199

Food? did some one mention food!!!

We have recently noticed Sproutling has a habit when we sit down to eat our tea if he is sleeping, he will wake and kick up a fuss,
If he's already awake he kicks up a fuss. Thinking he was just attention seeking, we dealt with it.
This morning, on feeding Older Sibling her breakfast, he kicked up, something clicked inside, and we did him some toast, Instant silence!
He quite happily sat there chewing/sucking, when Older Sibling removed it from him, Oh my, the screams, the tears, the tantrum that followed. Older Sibling hastily threw the toast on the tray, were he snatched it up and shoved it back in!
AHHHH so that's were we are going wrong, he doesn't kick up for attention, he is kicking up because he wants our food!
Following his toast this morning, he went on to have some chicken and then a rusk, before attempting his first go at his beaker.
We parents have now learnt a lesson....Sprouting wants food! Already doing baby jars, this obviously isn't enough.
So messy baby led weaning from now on it is! Oh this is going to be fun!
Will keep this updated as I think this is going to be something, he will love to look back on!
