Life from city to village

Blossom

I woke to blue skies and warmth again. I decided to make myself tea, and then knocked the yoghurt from the fridge, spilling most. So I had yoghurt for breakfast.
I decided to make a start stripping the paint from my old front door. Its the original 1930's door - there is now a covered porch in front. Its a gorgeous door, with art deco stained glass, bt its taking quite a bit of work to strip the paint off.  Since I finished for the day, my friend has dropped off a heat gun which should make the rest easier. Gradually the house is getting into shape.

This was taken around 5pm - the blossom is beginning to lose petals in the wind, so this may be the last good shot of the blossom this year. I just love it when the tree is in blossom, particularly in the last days when the leaves are unfurling.
