Kookaburra sits on the ol' clothsline...

it has now been raining for over 24 hours, the first time in weeks, fantastic as it has reduced the bush fire risk and brought all the wild and native birds back into our backyard.

The little Kookaburra (Dacelo novaeguineae) sat on the clothes line for over an hour, it preened itself and got thoroughly soaked through the feathers.
