The walk and the signs

Well after a dismal Saturday which coincided with the start of our sixth week in lockdown my wife and I needed to get out for a walk. Went out at 06:00 and there was hardly any cars or people about.

So it was back to taking an image of the Shard. The extras were of signs I noticed on our walk. Both made me smile for different reasons.

Read an article from theTimes last night. If completely accurate it’s information reflects very badly on the Government for its handling of the NHS prior to the outbreak and lack of action afterwards.

The NHS has been underfunded during austerity.
Last time Pandemic exercise tested in UK was 2016. The exercise found we had insufficient PPE and ventilators.
There were sufficient warnings and indications of pandemic in early January and the Government did not act.
Johnson did not attend 5 Cobra Meetings prior to hiss illness.
We donated over 200k of PPE items to China.

Senior heads should roll or perhaps the Government should resign and we get people who demonstrate clear leadership and direction.
