Space food

I'm pretty sure I ruined Alex's first (possibly only) experience with freeze dried food. Right now, he is learning about Space in Preschool and super excited about the topic. I thought it would be fun to introduce him to Astronaut Ice Cream as I remember having this as a kid and thinking it was pretty cool.
Alex had downed two pieces and was working on his third when all of a sudden Isaac, who is reading the ingredients, says "wait, stop" in the way that means EGGS. Instantly I reached into my poor son's mouth and started digging out the ice cream goo and wiping his tongue and lips with my hand in a frantic manner as if that is even going to help rid his body of the amount he has already ingested. In the 5 seconds that followed I'm thinking "oh my God, I'm going to have to give my son the Epi-pen all because of some stupid ice cream that isn't even good". How I managed to forget that I wouldn't have even bought this stuff if I had seen a trace of eggs on the package is beyond me. Finally, Isaac goes, "oh, nevermind, we're good". Poor guy.
