Social distancing

Mes amigos are usually inseparable. They’ve been away for some time and and are puzzled and saddened by how different things are at the moment. They’re abiding by the restrictions though, and hope that will keep themselves and everyone else safe.

We took the back route to our high street this morning. I queued to get into M&S while D went to Sainsbury’s. I collected an order for sewing bits and bobs. I’d ordered and paid over the phone and collected the goods from a stool just inside the door of the shop at a pre-arranged time.

We’ve made two lots of soup, watched The Robe and Casualty, had a little bit of FaceTime with both families but feel as if we’ve not done a lot really.

Remembering so many people this evening as this virus continues to take hold and the numbers increase. Remembering too to say thank you for all we are blessed with.
