I made East Coast Cured on my way to, rather than from, the allotment, so they hadn't sold out of bread. Also got some Clava (quite squidgy, which is promising) and some very good wholemeal flour. The sun was bright but there was a chill north-easterly blowing.
The little blighters had completely emptied the feeders, of course; and everything seemed rather dry so I watered. Fair number of seeds coming up, most of the asparagus plants shooting, and the first potato leaves just peeking through.
The blip is, I think, an oca plant that grew from some tubers Paul gave me at my birthday bash - a hairy little chap, it seems. I'd never heard of it before. According to Wikipedia it's native to the Andes but commonly grown in New Zealand!
