Pilot Whales at Kaikoura

Cashed in a few Krugerrands to go whale watching. As well as a Sperm Whale we saw pods of dolphins. This is part of one pod of Pilot Whales (they are in fact dolphins). They ignore the boat but others like the Dusky Dolphin swim with it and have a jolly good time. The Sperm whale merely lies on the surface filling its lungs for the next dive to find Giant Squid in the abyss. Brilliant experience.
