Anne's Daily Encounters

Radiant Red

In this Lockdown time, there's so few people on the streets when I go for my walk around the block, I feel a bit uncomfy about photographing the spare person and thus I photograph the flowers that grow along the route. Those flowers grow in abundance and are so colorful; they attrack my eyes and catch me as they're enchantingly beautiful !

Another catch of an Euphorbia flower here.

It's Easter Midnight now; the priests on in the churches now say: Christ is risen... Ο Χριστός ανέστη
normally all would be at the church and light their candles from the other.. the priest is the first to hand that out to another. That candlelight comes each year from the Greek orthodox church in Jerusalem from where it's flown onto Athens in the early hours after midday and then from Athens that holy light is spread and brought on to all the inland airports from where it's spread over the chruches in all towns and villages of Greece... this year the light stayed only in Athens, as nobody is to go to church!

Happy Easter! and Happy Weekend to you all !
