new leaf

It's usually in the first week of May that I notice the new beech leaves, but here they were on our walk down to the Cairn Water at Routin Brig. All this lovely sunny weather is bringing on the greening, and the bluebells, too.

I've been gathering a handful of leaves every night for a salad, wild garlic, sorrel, ground elder and dandelion - just the young and tender ones. Might as well use the weeds for something useful!

Luke is cooking the tea tonight, he is experimenting with a new recipe. It smells good...

Our choir director shared this video yesterday and I thought I'd pass it on - very uplifting. Have a good evening, everybody :-)
